Job summary

Qualifications

Four-year degree from a college or university.

Passing Praxis II in the subject area.

Responsibilities

Teaches District approved curriculum.
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plans a program of study, employing a variety of instructional techniques to meet student needs.
Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
Keeps accurate records and prepares progress reports; reports to principal.
Assists administration in implementing policies and rules; maintains records as required.
Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates objectives to students.
Available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside instructional day.
