Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Prepares for class and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Maintains accurate records and follows policies governing student life and conduct.
• Makes themselves available to students and parents outside instructional hours when required.
• Plans and supervises assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
