Job summary

Waco ISD seeks a dedicated Teacher to provide engaging learning experiences in the core subject area. You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess progress, and maintain a productive classroom environment that supports student growth.

You will collaborate with staff, manage diverse student needs, and integrate technology to strengthen instruction while upholding district standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons accommodating diverse learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Use varied instructional strategies and materials for students.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides/volunteers as assigned.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
