GFT is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in Middletown, NY. This role requiring regular attendance in Middletown, NY office.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

We are seeking a Construction Inspectorto support our growing team in the Orange County, NY area for upcoming projects. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that construction projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards while working alongside a team of dedicated professionals.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Must perform all testing/inspections in a timely manner and adhere to Gannett Flemings Quality Management Protocols (QMP)
• Complete daily inspection reports on a daily basis
• Represent the client and Gannett Fleming interests in a professional manner and appearance
• Be onsite during contractor work activities
• Report and take directions from the Resident Engineer

Education | Experience:

What you’ll bring to our firm:

• High School Diploma
• NICET Highway Construction Inspection Level II, III, or IV
• Experience with NYSDOT preferred
• Must understand comprehensive construction drawings, standard specifications and Shop Drawing submittals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows
• Ability to travel and work flexible schedules including overtime and potential nightwork
• Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors, maneuver difficult terrain and pass a medical evaluation
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to, from and around project locations

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $125,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
