Job description

Gannett Fleming is looking for Construction Inspectors to support our growing team of Professionals in the Orange County, New York area.

Responsibilities

1. Must perform all testing/inspections in a timely manner and adhere to Gannett Flemings Quality Management Protocols (QMP)
2. Complete daily inspection reports on a daily basis
3. Represent the client and Gannett Fleming interests in a professional manner and appearance
4. Be onsite during contractor work activities
5. Report and take directions from the Resident Engineer

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma
2. NICET Highway Construction Inspection Level 2, 3 or 4
3. Experience with NYDOT preferred
4. Must understand comprehensive construction drawings, standard specifications and Shop Drawing submittals
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Computer literate including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows
7. Ability to travel and work flexible schedules including overtime
8. Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors, maneuver difficult terrain and pass a medical evaluation
9. Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to, from and around project locations
