- With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for various inspection requirements, including physical inspection and related documentation reviews for compliance.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
- Inspect parts, tools, or instruments to determine acceptance or rejection, identifying defects and preparing documentation.
Inspection:
- Perform inspection on detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and/or parts finish.
- Interpret specifications, charts and manuals. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
- Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.
- Determine acceptance or rejection of AS9102 FAIR documentation via the use of Net-Inspect.
- Determine acceptance or rejection of external supplier certification packages via the use of Net-Inspect.
- Determine acceptance or rejection of documentation related requirements flowed down to external suppliers (i.e. test records, inspection records, PPAP, etc..) via the use of Net-Inspect.
Required Skills:
- Two years related inspection in Aerospace or Automotive industry, calibration or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
