Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking a dependable Packer to inspect and package plastic products and ensure quality and ready-to-ship condition. This full-time role offers benefits and growth potential within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

You will handle packaging materials, verify product specifications, and maintain clean work areas while adhering to safety guidelines. Prior packaging or manufacturing experience is preferred, and basic data entry skills may be used for quality records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure packaging meets specs.
• Package products with correct materials and proper sealing.
• Label packages with product information and warnings as needed.
• Monitor production line efficiency and resolve packaging issues.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and assist on solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Monitor packaging material inventory and report when restocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Packer, you're responsible for inspecting and packaging plastic products, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including housekeeping and disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role preferred.
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy objects as needed.
