Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking a Packer to inspect and package plastic products, ensuring quality and accuracy for shipment. You will monitor the production line, select packaging materials, and label packages with product details and warnings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role preferred.
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including packaging materials and proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency and address packaging or production issues.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify when supplies need replenishment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.
