Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Aurora, IL is seeking a detail‑oriented Packer to inspect, package, and label plastic products for shipment. This full‑time, on‑site role supports quality standards and efficient operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or packaging setting is preferred.
• Ability to spot defects and maintain quality standards.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Comfort with basic computer data entry and records.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift/move objects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects and color inconsistencies.
• Package products according to specifications and seal properly.
• Label packages with accurate product information and warnings.
• Monitor production line efficiency and address packaging issues.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and help resolve.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.
