Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking an Inspector II for the SHA District 6 project to apply standard inspection procedures during and after construction, ensuring structural quality and conformance to plans and codes. The role requires basic inspection experience and a valid driver’s license.

This position is field-based, with duties in an outdoor environment and various weather conditions. The firm offers ESOP and comprehensive benefits as part of a strong employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, may be substituted for experience.
• 1-4 years of Construction Inspection Experience.
• Active driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, layouts, specifications and construction methods for compliance with laws and safety rules.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and pavement.
• Gathers and maintains record documents.
• Makes field notes and computations.

JMT's Construction Management Team is looking for an Inspector II to apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities, in SHA District 6, during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.

Pay range is $23-$35/hour. Salary range is based upon background, education, level of experience and project assignment.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Performs routine tests on concreate, soils and other materials
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.

• Makes field notes and computations

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience)
• 1-4 years of Construction Inspection Experience

• Client Requested certifications

Working Conditions

Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
