Qualifications

  • Conduct assessment of vehicle condition, noting damage or needed repair.
  • Record frame, paint, engine, AC/heater, radio, navigation, tires and related items.
  • Prepare documentation: VIN data, condition description, repair costs, photos.
  • Keep current knowledge of labor rates, parts charges and manufacturer updates.
  • Perform courtesy walk-around inspections.
  • Follow safety and health procedures.
  • May be required to locate, start and move vehicles as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessment of vehicle condition, noting any damage or repair
  • Required for frame, paint, engine, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation systems, tires, etc.
  • Prepare support documentation related to vehicle condition - including Vehicle identification data, condition description, repair costs estimate, photographs, etc.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable labor rates, parts charges and manufacturer's updates; adhere to work instructions/procedures regarding inspections/documentation.
  • Conduct courtesy walk-around inspections.
  • Follow all applicable safety and health related procedures.
  • May be required to locate, start and move vehicles as directed
Qualifications

Minimum

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Generally, less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

Preferred

  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and able to multi-task.
  • General knowledge of mechanical and automotive body work.
  • Previous body shop, automotive background and mechanical experience.
Physical requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.
  • Vision requirements: close, distance, depth perception, and color variations.
  • Must be able to work in varied weather conditions.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. May be exposed to fumes and odors.

USD 15.10 - 22.60 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.10 - $22.60/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
