Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a QA Manual Inspector to inspect machined and sheet metal components, purchased products, raw materials, and outside processing for conformance to drawings and specifications. The role requires attention to detail and experience reading aerospace drawings, GD&T, and conducting various nondestructive tests.

Responsibilities include documenting results, using standard inspection tools, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Job Description:

The Inspector position offers level 1 - Journey Lvl. Wage scale provided reflects level 1 - 3.

The QA Manual Inspector inspects machined components, sheet metal components, purchased products and standards, raw materials, assembled products and outside processing for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.

What will my responsibilities include?

Reads and interprets aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications and technical requirements.
Accurately compares product to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase order, and manufacturing orders using common manual inspection equipment, (e.g., PCM’s, height gage, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges etc) to accept or reject product to customer engineering requirements.
Documents product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing order, processes any necessary rejection documentation, and performs various MRP system functions.
Performs Rockwell and Eddy Current testing for product acceptance.
Understands and applies statistical sampling techniques.
Reviews outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish, and verifies physical appearance of final product for conformance to engineering specifications.
Fully capable of understanding, performing, and completing FAI’s in accordance with Company and AS9102 requirements.
Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Company policy awareness: Understands and complies with company policies and guidelines as described in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Safety Manual and the Quality Management System. Complies with rules and procedures of a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

A minimum of three years hands-on inspection experience in a regulated industry.
Two years (recent) hands-on inspection experience in the aerospace industry.
Passing score on Advanced Level Engineering Drawings Test.
Passing score on Fluent Level Test on GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade school or college courses in related fields (e.g., blueprint reading, GD&T)

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work environment of this position is generally indoors in a well lit and ventilated area. This position works in a manufacturing environment throughout the workday. This environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. Individuals must stand for much of the workday. Work activities involve combinations of standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying. Work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and correctable vision to 20/25, or as per customer requirements. Salary Offering:

$22.00 per hour to $33.75 per hour

Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
