The City of Houston is seeking a qualified inspector to enforce codes and standards for Right of Way utilities, sidewalks, driveways, and paving inspections, and to support 311 investigations. You will inspect and verify conformance with plans, respond to inquiries, and address violations in a collaborative environment.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related inspection experience, plus a valid Texas driver's license.

Enforces ordinances and technical specifications for Right of Way Utilities, Sidewalk, Driveway, Paving inspections and 311 investigations to assure conformance with plans and specifications.
The position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items, such as typewriters or records boxes (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on rough surfaces on a routine basis.
Requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and up to 18 months of education or training in the area of inspection to be performed.
Two (2) years of journey level or skilled experience related to the area of inspection to be performed are required.
Require a valid Texas driver\'s license and compliance with the City of Houston\'s policy on driving.
