Job summary

Conax Technologies in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect raw, semi-finished, and finished products against drawings and guidelines, ensuring compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

You will analyze data, prepare reports, and verify conformance of material and documentation, using PC software and various measurement equipment.

The role requires vision/acuity testing, ability to lift 40 lbs, and steady mobility between work areas during shifts.

Qualifications

• Must pass a Quality Inspector proficiency test.
• Must pass a visual acuity (vision) test.
• Must be able to lift/handle 40 lbs. minimum.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time and move between multiple work areas as needed throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw, semi-finished and finished product by using general inspection guidelines, detailed instructions and basic to moderately complex engineering drawings.
• Utilize a wide variety of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE), inspection techniques and basic math principles to determine product/process compliance.
• Record, collect, analyze and report data and observations, and verify material and documentation conforms to product specifications, including preparation of supporting documentation (e.g. compliance reports, non-conforming material reports, first article inspection reports).
• Use PC office automation programs/software to perform above functions.

  • Utilizing a wide variety of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE), inspection techniques and basic math principles to determine product/process compliance.
• Responsible for recording, collecting, analyzing and reporting of data and observations, and the verification of whether material and documentation conforms to product specifications, including the preparation of supporting documentation (e.g. compliance reports, non conforming material reports, first article inspection reports, etc).
• Utilize PC office automation programs/software to perform above functions.
• Must be able to pass a visual acuity (vision) test and color-blindness test.
