Job Summary
Responsible for inspecting products (e.g., computer hardware, peripherals, devices, and other types of electronic equipment). Ensure that products meet order specifications and established quality control requirements.
Essential Functions
- Examine finished product(s) to ensure maximum efficiency and quality; inspect all products for damage and/or errors
- Interprets documentation (may be from several sources) to determine specific needs within area of responsibility
- Interface with customers (internal and/or external) to resolve technical issues
- Recommend and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain records of inspection progress and problems
- Documents processes and procedures
- May lead work teams and, as such, may provide approval for work performed by others
- Trains Quality Inspector I and II
Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Makes recommendations for process improvements
- Participates in process improvement efforts as required
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in Quality Inspection or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency at a Quality Specialist level.
Experience Requirement
- Ability to collect and analyze data
- Knowledge of specialized equipment used within the respective discipline
- Ability to apply techniques standard to the respective area of discipline

- Ability to solve problems in situations standard to the area of specialty, but where there may be little precedent

Working Conditions
- Required to use basic motor skills on a daily basis
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
- May be required to lift objects weighing more than 30lbs on a daily basis.
- May be exposed to both occupational and environmental risks daily including, but not limited to; chemicals, cuts burns, noise and odors. Controlled manufacturing environment.
