Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking an Inspector to partner with Operations, Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales and customers to conduct process audits and inspections of tools and products. You will report to the Sr.

Quality Manager and perform daily incoming material inspections, document results, and move material between stock, MRB, and dispositioned areas. The role requires extensive use of inspection tools, blueprints with GD&T, and strong computer skills to access drawings and enter data; we

• Experience using inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, drop indicators, radius gauges, gage blocks, height gauges, and digital multimeters.
• Ability to read blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, for the items listed in the job summary.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems to obtain drawings and enter data.

Responsibilities

A Day in Your Life at MKS:As an Inspector at MKS Corporation, you will partner with operation, Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales, Customers, etc. to conduct process audit & inspection of tools & products. In this role, you will report to Sr. Quality Manager.You Will Make an Impact By:Using written procedures perform daily inspection of incoming material and document results. Move conforming material to the stockroom. Move nonconforming material to the MRB areaSupport MRB activities. Move dispositioned material to the proper area. Complete and process necessary documentationPerform detailed first article inspections when required and document resultsInterface with appropriate parties, as directed, to address issues notedUse computer terminals and networked PCs to access various programs such as the catalog parts book, purchase order information, and part ship-to-stock statusSkills You Bring:Experience using inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, drop indicators, radius gauges, gage blocks, height gauges, and digital multimeters3+ years of relevant experienceAbility to read blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, for the items listed in the job summaryMaintain accurate records of inspection activity, including part history records, nonconformance reports, and ship-to-stock requestsWork with a minimum of supervision and effectively handle multiple tasks concurrentlyMaintain a professional working relationship with internal customersAbility to lift material up to 50 poundsGood knowledge of measurement accuracy, measurement terminology.Theory and operation of CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine preferred. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
