An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Cable Inspector. This role involves inspecting cables, ensuring compliance with IPC-A-620 standards, and performing assembly tasks as needed. Candidates will utilize various measuring devices and work from blueprints and diagrams to maintain high-quality standards. Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed cables. Utilizes various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas if needed. Has experience with cables and can identify non-conformances according to IPC-A-620 and other specific requirements. Communicates effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management when resolving quality issues, demonstrating attention to detail and proficiency in interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions. Works well as part of a team, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and interfaces diplomatically with team members, customers, and management.
Proficiency with personal computers and modern applications is required.
