Job description

Job Description:

Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed cables. Utilizes various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas if needed. Has experience with cables and can identify non-conformances according to IPC-A-620 and other specific requirements. Communicates effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management when resolving quality issues, demonstrating attention to detail and proficiency in interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions. Works well as part of a team, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and interfaces diplomatically with team members, customers, and management.

Proficiency with personal computers and modern applications is required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong background in the manufacturing process of cable inspections.
• Willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks related to inspection areas as needed.
• Must have experience with soldered and crimped cable inspections using IPC-A-620 standards.
• Prior inspection experience required.
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, and work instructions.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Proficient with personal computers.
• No degree required.
• Shift: 3:30 AM - 2:00 PM EST, Monday-Thursday, with overtime on weekends.
• Candidates must pass a medical screening exam as outlined in the supplier guide.
• Must be able to read and write English.
