Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions in the United States seeks a Receiving Inspector to perform receiving inspection and QA audits, interfacing with Purchasing, Manufacturing and Engineering. This role supports the US/UK naval defense market and requires hands-on use of precision measuring tools.

The position requires 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing/QA inspection, a high school diploma, and the ability to work Saturdays and OT. Proficiency with micro/m-Calipers and basic computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• US Person or eligible to obtain export authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection.
• Perform in-process inspections as required.
• Perform Final QA Audit of product as needed.
• Interface with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments.
• Maintain Receiving inspection files and pull prints from files or electronic database.
• Interpret prints for measuring parts.
• Comply with Quality Management System procedures.
• Schedule flexibility including Saturdays and OT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform receiving inspection
• Perform appropriate transactions in internal systems
• Perform in process inspections as required
• Perform Final QA Audit of Product as needed
• Knowledge of the use hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages
• Maintain Receiving inspection files
• Pull prints from files or electronic database
• Interpret prints for measuring parts
• Must be flexible in schedule and available for Saturdays and OT as needed
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
• Interface with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments
• Compliance with Quality Management System procedures

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing/QA inspection and test
• This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge and use of basic hand tools and measuring tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic mathematic skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and follow written or verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Position requires extensive sitting and/or standing and good eye-hand coordination

Physical Requirements:

• Must successfully pass a vision examination (including near vision and color vision, if required) as a condition of employment and/or periodically thereafter
• Ability to read small text and handwriting
• Manual dexterity required and able to perform repetitive tasks
• Frequently required to stand
• Must be able to visually examine parts and documents
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation Information

Base Salary Range: $50,000-$53,000

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to offer such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
