Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team in Plainview, NY. This contract-to-hire role focuses on inspecting components and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include in-process, first article, and final inspections; interpreting blueprints; using precision measuring tools; and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in production environments.

Quality Inspector

Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for inspecting components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. We are open to candidates with either mechanical inspection or electronic inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections
• Inspect components and assemblies for quality and compliance
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment to verify dimensions and quality
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
• Follow all aerospace and company quality procedures

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainview, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
