Hill International seeks an Inspector to support projects across South, Central, and North Jersey. The role involves pre-construction meetings, plan evaluation, field inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Requirements include at least 3 years as a Construction Inspector in multiple disciplines, rail yard experience, Engineering/Construction Mgmt education, OSHA 30, and a valid Driver’s License. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Construction Inspector in Civil, Structural, or Architectural disciplines.
  • Active experience in rail yard environments.
  • Education or training in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • Trained in OSHA 30 hours construction safety.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficient knowledge of construction safety.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Issue violation notices and stop-work orders when not compliant.

  • Complete Rail Safety Training as required.

  • Evaluate plans and specifications for construction projects to ensure conformance with regulations.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify standards of structures and materials.
  • Assist in issuing violation notices and stop-work orders where structures and materials do not comply with regulations.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. The salary offered will be based on the applicant’s qualifications, education, experience and work location.
