Job summary

Ports America Shared Services, Inc. in Brunswick, GA is seeking a vigilant inspector to perform vessel audits, inspect MRA installations, and ensure all required documentation is accurately recorded. You will coordinate with customer auditors and report deficiencies to the Production Manager.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with possible overtime or weekend work. Must maintain safety standards, operate a two-way radio, and hold a TWIC badge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid US Driver's License required.
• Must obtain and maintain TWIC Badge issued by DHS.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect MRA installations, conduct load line audits, and survey vessels as needed.
• Ensure audits are performed, documented, and recorded correctly.
• Coordinate with customer auditors during their scheduled audits.
• Report to Production Manager about deficiencies as they occur.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with safety policies.

Job description

Essential Duties:

• Inspect MRA installations, load line audits, survey vessels as needed.
• Ensure customer required audits are performed, documented, and recorded correctly.
• Coordinate with customer auditors during their scheduled audits.
• Report to the Production Manager concerning recurring or serious deficiencies, as they occur.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid US Driver's License
• Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
• Drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using a two-way radio and a Freon detector.
• Must have demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Must possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented.
• Ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Working Attributes:

• Stand, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout shift.
• Work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
• Vision adequate to detect minor body damage on dirty vehicles.
• Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions, which may exist from time to time.
