Job summary

Vertical Aerospace seeks an experienced QA Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of repaired/overhauled aircraft components, including thrust reversers and flight controls. You will interpret CMM/OHM/SRM data to verify airworthiness and document discrepancies with MRB and production teams.

Candidates should have 5+ years in FAA Part 145 repair environments, blueprint reading, and strong computer skills; NDT certification is a plus, and English proficiency is essential for

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Prefer 5+ years in FAA FAR Part 145 Repair Station.
• Must interpret blueprints and CMM/OHM/SRM data for repair/overhaul of aircraft components.
• Experience with FAA rules and regulations.
• NDT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• In-process and final inspection of repaired/overhauled aircraft components.
• Use CMM, OHM, SRM data to determine airworthiness and acceptability.
• Document discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Production, Engineering, and MRB.
• Ensure all inspection documentation and production work instructions comply with quality system and engineering specifications.
• Assist other inspectors in in-process inspections.
• Support Quality department in shelf life, calibration, scrapping, internal audits, FAI, receiving inspection, etc.

To provide key inspection duties for Vertical Aerospace.In-process and Final Inspection of all types of repaired and overhauled aircraft components including Thrust reversers, Flight Controls, Fan Cowls, Nose Cowls, Ducting etc.: Using CMM, OHM, SRM and other data necessary to determine airworthiness and acceptability. Maintain and document results and prepare QA FormsDocument discrepancies and coordinate resolution with assigned areas of Production, Engineering, and/or Material Review Board (MRB) as appropriateEnsure all inspection documentation and production work instructions are complete and comply with quality system and engineering specificationsAssist other inspectors in the performance of their duties including in-process inspections within area(s) of qualificationSupport Quality department in various responsibilities including Shelf Life, Calibration, Scrapping of Parts, Internal Audits, First Article Inspection, Receiving Inspection, etc.EDUCATION: High School graduate, GED, or equivalent. Technical School or College preferred.
