Job summary

Valence in the United States is seeking an Inspector to identify design, process, or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns to the Director of Quality. The role requires reading technical drawings, following procedures with minimal supervision, and using test equipment as prescribed.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of aviation inspection experience, strong attention to detail, and experience with Nadcap, Military, FAA, and government regulatory inspections.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of inspection experience (Aviation industry experience required).
• Read technical drawings with multiple views.
• Experience with Quality Assurance systems and standards (Nadcap, Military).
• Experience with regulatory conformity inspections (FAA, Government).

Responsibilities

• Identify inefficiencies in design, process, or other areas and report quality concerns to the Director of Quality.
• Follow written and verbal instructions in English and operate with minimal supervision.
• Inspect parts and materials for acceptance against written standards.
• Write discrepancy reports and complete inspection documentation.
• Read drawings, verify acceptability, and use prescribed test equipment.
• Attend nights, weekends, and variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Assist in Masking Department when workload requires.

Job description

Candidate must be able to identify design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues to the Director of Quality. Candidate must have ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision and be skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.

Other Responsibilities Include

• Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Communicating issues to other department personnel and management when necessary.
• Communicating issues to customers when necessary.
• Read technical drawings with multiple views.
• Verify and determine acceptability of parts and material to written standards.
• Write discrepancy reports and complete inspection documentation.
• Complete work according to instructions, specifications, drawings, and procedures.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
• Job will require inspector to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.
• Inspectors will be required to help in Masking Department when/if there is a need and when workload requires so.
