Job summary

Innodyne Systems, part of FCA Aerospace, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure FAA‑compliant conformity of nacelle components and related assemblies.

The role involves inspecting workmanship, maintaining calibration records, executing FAA Form 337, and performing internal self‑audits to uphold the highest standards across commercial and military programs. You will coordinate with repair stations and document nonconformities to support root‑cause analyses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collects and maintains files on work orders and inspection forms for quick retrieval.
  • Performs periodic checks on inspection tools and precision equipment.
  • Maintains calibration records and ensures tools are within the required period.
  • Executes FAA Form 337 and related maintenance releases.
  • Oversees inspections and ensures compliance with repair station standards.
  • Submits Service Difficulty Reports as required.
  • Manages disposition of unserviceable parts with customer consent.
  • Maintains roster of management, supervisory and inspection personnel.
  • Controls shelf life materials and keeps required manuals up to date.
  • Implements a corrective action system for quality problems.
  • Prepares information for FAA submissions and updates on capabilities.
  • Performs review inspections to verify workmanship and standards.
  • Conducts self-audits and internal quality system checks upon request.
  • Assists in budgeting and manpower forecasting.
  • Analyzes quality data to improve QA processes.
  • Performs special assignments and projects.

Innodyne Systems, an FCA Aerospace brand specializes in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling nacelle components, thrust (fan) reversers, and other aircraft structural components for the commercial and military sectors.

What you will be doing…
  • Collects and maintains a file on work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that the specific file pertaining to an assembly or unit can be located within a reasonable length of time.
  • Performs periodic checks on inspection tools and precision test equipment.
  • Develops and maintains a system of keeping records of checks and calibration of inspection tools and precision test equipment within the required calibration period.
  • Executes FAA Form 337 and the maintenance release pertinent to all items released to service by the repair station.
  • Supervises preliminary, hidden damage, inspection continuity, and final inspection of all items processed repair station.
  • Executes and submits Service Difficulty Reports as required.
  • Ensures that rejected and unserviceable parts, after proper identification, are returned to the customer, or with the customer's permission, are properly disposed of.
  • Maintains “Roster of Management, Supervisory and Inspection Personnel” in a current state.
  • Ensures that all materials subject to shelf life are properly controlled and inspected on a regular basis and removed from service when the shelf life expires.
  • Maintains and makes available a current library of all required maintenance manuals, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, FAA regulations, etc.
  • Establishes and administers a corrective action system to identify quality problems and bring about their prompt, satisfactory resolution.
  • Prepares information for submission for the FAA, including updates on the repair station's capabilities.
  • Performs review inspections on aircraft and components to monitor the quality of work performed and the adequacy of standards and equipment.
  • Performs occasional/random work package audits to ensure that documentation is maintained in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Directs the performance of “self‑audits” of internal quality systems, at the request of the customer.
  • Assists in preparing budgets and manpower forecasts.
  • Analyzes and interprets quality datain order tod evelop methods, procedures, and systems to improve the Quality Assurance functions.

What we are looking for…
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification or Repairman’s Certification
  • NDT Certified (Level 2 or 3)
  • 3+ years working in an inspection role in the aviation industry
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills.
  • Subject to an annual vision test.
  • Employees are subject to the FAA/Drug/Alcohol program.

  • Experience working in a Part 145 Repair Shop
