Job summary

RTX is seeking a Receiving Inspector to inspect incoming materials, ensure conformance with purchase orders and engineering drawings, and prevent nonconforming items from entering production.

You will perform dimensional and visual inspections using fixed or variable measuring instruments, record results, and follow work instructions to verify dimensions and qualification. Onsite role with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Inspection experience in a production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic shop math required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, components, and documentation per purchase orders and drawings.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using fixed or variable measuring instruments.
• Record results and determine pass/fail based on tolerances.
• Follow work instructions and verify dimensions; arrange for repair/calibration as needed.
• Maintain inspection stamp and support continuous improvement initiatives.
