Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC and a global law firm in NYC seek associates for the Insolvency & Restructuring group in Midtown Manhattan in a hybrid setting.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of restructuring experience handling Chapter 11 matters, with JD, NY Bar in good standing, and experience at AmLaw 200 firms or top-50 schools; salary $235k–$310k plus bonus; extensive benefits and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of restructuring experience representing debtors, ad hoc and statutory committees, secured creditors and others in Chapter 11 and restructurings.
• Deposition and trial preparation experience is a plus.
• Demonstrates high academic and professional excellence with strong research, writing and communication skills.
• Works effectively as part of high-performing, collaborative teams.
• Must hold a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to the NY Bar in good standing.
• Top-tier law school background and AmLaw 200 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, committees, creditors and other constituents in Chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on complex matters.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
