Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an entry-level Chemical Handler to join our safety-first team at our Richmond, CA location. You will perform waste pickups, assist with chemical bulking and labeling, and support spill response on customer sites.

Training provided to help you advance your career in environmental and industrial services. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and completion of a background check, drug test, and physical.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• TWIC Card strongly preferred.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups at customer facilities.
• Conduct chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Package and label waste for efficiency and compliance.
• Participate in spill response on customer sites as needed.
• Operate forklifts.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
• Complete waste stream sampling and profiling.

Responsibilities
