Job summary

Gleanwork is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Insights team in Mountain View, California. This role involves designing data pipelines, building backend services, and enhancing user experiences with a focus on accurate metrics and analytics. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of software engineering experience and expertise across multiple programming languages including Golang, Java, and Python.

Additional responsibilities include developing user targeting platforms and ensuring data observability. Gleanwork offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $265,000 along with comprehensive benefits and a vibrant office culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry software engineering experience, including ownership of production services or analytics systems.
• Strong experience in building backend services and APIs across the tech stack.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reliable data pipelines and services for user metrics.
• Build and evolve backend APIs between product logs and the Insights UI.
• Contribute to natural-language query functionalities for Insights.
• Develop user targeting platform for marketing and growth.
• Improve observability, alerting, and backfill workflows for Insights jobs.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment on core definitions.
