Job summary

Jedson Engineering is seeking an Application Developer to support, enhance, and modernize our internally developed business platform. The role will work with stakeholders, developers, and our DBA/SQL Engineer to deliver enhancements, integrations, reporting solutions, and process improvements.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the Insight platform, backend PHP functionality, SQL queries and reports, and building integrations with internal and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries against relational databases.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with IIS and Windows-hosted web applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with business users to understand requirements.
• Experience using source control systems such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support the Insight platform and related business applications.
• Develop backend functionality using PHP.
• Create, modify, and optimize SQL queries, views, reports, and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and third-party systems using APIs and web services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, reporting, and integration issues.
• Participate in testing, deployments, documentation, and ongoing application support.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to future application modernization initiatives and new application development efforts.
