Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks an Investigations Analyst to research, analyze, and disseminate information protecting SpaceX's personnel, assets, and IP. You will triage anomalous data, assess insider threat risk, and work with Information Security, HR, Legal, and external partners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in investigations or 4+ years in lieu of degree, experience with SIEM or digital forensics, and strong written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in internal investigations, information security, or counterintelligence; or 4+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 1+ year using a SIEM and/or conducting digital forensic investigations in a government or corporate environment.
• Knowledge of insider threat program missions, internal stakeholders, and manifestations of insider threats.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview for eDiscovery.
• Experience building data pipelines and automating processes.
• Familiarity with risk-based alerting and insider risk concepts.
• Experience with investigations planning, evidence collection, and reporting.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive investigations and analysis in support of SpaceX intellectual property and security
• Triage anomalous event data and analyze insider threat risk to SpaceX infrastructure, programs, and operations
• Utilize network monitoring and data analytic tools to identify anomalous activity
• Communicate findings to team members, management, and stakeholders
• Liaise with external industry and government partners to benchmark insider threat program and share threat intelligence
