Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Insider Threat Analyst to safeguard personnel, brand, and assets. You will triage event data, analyze threat datasets, and build metrics across insider threat programs to protect critical missions.

You will work with Information Security, HR, Legal, and external partners, using SIEM/UEBA tools to identify risks and inform investigations. Strong communication and discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years in lieu in internal investigations, information security, or counterintelligence.
• At least 1 year using SIEM or conducting digital forensic investigations in government or corporate environments.
• Understanding insider threat program missions, stakeholders, and manifestations of insider threats.
• Experience with data pipelines, automation, and related workflows.
• Familiarity with risk-based alerting, detection, and tuning for insider risk.
• Experience conducting preliminary assessments, determining scope, and reporting findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analysis to safeguard SpaceX intellectual property and security.
• Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, timeliness, and use of all information sources.
• Analyze program data to evaluate insider threat risk to infrastructure, programs, and operations.
• Triage anomalous event data related to data exfiltration and other indicators of concern.
• Collaborate with Information Security, HR, Legal, and external partners on investigations.
• Utilize SIEM/UEBA tools to identify activity and build actionable insights.
• Extract and organize data to create metrics, reports, and case studies.
