Job summary

SpaceX seeks an Insider Risk Analyst to research, analyze, and disseminate information safeguarding personnel, assets, and IP. The role triages data, builds inquiries, and collaborates across Security, HR, Legal, and external partners to counter insider threats.

The candidate will use SIEM, data analytics, and pipelines to detect risks, produce reports, and help implement program improvements. Active clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of internal investigations or information security, or 4+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience using SIEM and conducting digital forensic investigations.
• Understanding insider threat missions and stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct interviews on short notice and produce clear reports.
• Strong written and oral communication with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analysis to protect intellectual property and security.
• Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and legal compliance in investigations.
• Collect and analyze program data to assess insider threat risk.
• Triages anomalous data related to exfiltration and other indicators of concern.
• Collaborate with Information Security, HR, Legal, and external partners.
• Use network monitoring and data analytics tools to identify activity.
• Build metrics, reports, and case studies from insider threat data.
• Communicate findings to team and stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support training and briefings for internal/external audiences.
• Engage with industry and government partners to benchmark threats.
