Job summary

The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) is hiring a strategic GRC Business Analyst (ITP) to help safeguard state tax administration. You will balance consulting with hands-on data programming, partnering with tax divisions and leading risk-based automation projects.

You’ll develop KPIs, assess security risks, and craft reports for division leadership while driving process improvements that protect state revenue and public trust.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional experience in data analytics, QA, and GRC.
• Experience auditing tax data, accounts, refunds, and transactions with IT tools and data analytics.
• Strong ability to present strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engagements and design risk-based, automated tools to spot operational and security issues.
• Analyze and document operations with cross-functional teams to map end-to-end processes.
• Define KPIs to measure compliance task quality and establish benchmarks.
• Identify security and fraud risks and design preventive controls.
• Define project scope and milestones for Insider Threat Program initiatives.
• Audit high-risk tax accounts and review QA outputs for accuracy and fraud signals.
• Extract and clean large datasets using SQL and Python.
• Build dashboards and visual reports to present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with tax divisions and adapt workloads to meet urgent deadlines.
