OpenAI is seeking a Security Engineer to join our team in the United States. You will focus on Detection & Response with a strong emphasis on insider threats, building automation and scalable workflows across our tech stack.

You will collaborate with HR, Legal, and investigative teams, applying technical expertise to secure OpenAI’s most sensitive assets while supporting cutting-edge AI research and responsible deployment.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in a detection/response or insider-risk role.
• Broad familiarity with operating systems (macOS, Windows, Linux) and Kubernetes, plus cloud infra.
• Knowledge of modern adversary tactics and data exfiltration techniques.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Ability to independently manage and run projects and balance preventative controls with user friction.
• Motivation to secure transformative AI technologies and adapt security frameworks to AI infra.
