Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a Security Engineer to evaluate, investigate, and mitigate insider risks within the Enterprise Protection Program. You will dive deep into data, identify trends, and develop analytics to automate and improve detection.

Strong communication is required for detailed technical reports and executive summaries. The role includes on-call responsibilities and cross-functional partnerships, with opportunities to shape security solutions across cloud, devices, retail, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of IT Security experience.
• Experience implementing security solutions at the cross-team level.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks using command line tools (non-internship) experience.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Independently dive deep into/investigate complex cyber-aligned insider threat issues.
• Perform deep dive analysis of internal and external datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and activities indicative of insider risks.
• Author comprehensive, clear summaries of complex incidents.
• Assist with identifying and driving opportunities to automate and optimize insider risk analytics, tooling, and processes.
• Identify and mitigate insider risk by collaborating with other Amazon Security teams, as well as external industry partners.
