The Inside Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for serving as a vital bridge between the organization’s Industrial products with the customer’s specific business needs. The incumbent will use their deep product expertise learned on the job to translate difficult concepts into clear value, prove technical feasibility, and drive sales in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

- Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking skills in the execution of job duties and is comfortable in seeking guidance and/or sharing information with supervisor and/or manager for uncommon requests.
- Responsible for assisting driving sales across varied accounts, product lines, and markets.
- Explain Industrial products in simple terms to non-technical buyers, while earning the trust of internal and external client engineers
- Guide the end-to-end technical sales cycle in collaboration with account executives, to secure contracts and/or quotes
- Answer detailed questions and resolve concerns during the sales cycle.
- Partner with leadership and/or internal engineering team to relay market feedback, craft accurate quotes, and secure sales
- Submit requested reports as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
- Demonstrates helpful and effective telephone etiquette and customer service skills by providing appropriate information to callers
- Provides excellent customer service by being attentive and respectful; ensures understanding of customer request and follows-through as promised; and being proactive in identifying member concerns, or problems.
- Attends ad participates in required training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled and assigned.
- Accept new assignments willingly to meet business needs and requirements.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, organize workload and prioritize work tasks to meet production goals.
- This position requires an on-site work schedule
- Must be able to attend key meetings on-site and maintain visibility with assigned outside sales representative and customer base.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree in related discipline desired and may substitute for required experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Two years’ experience of proven Industrial sales and support experience
- Ability to multi-task, and problem solve effectively.
- Solid knowledge of MS applications and MRP systems
- Minimum two years’ experience of industrial business to business quotations required
- Ability to work professionally, effectively, and efficiently in a team environment with customers, management and peers.
- Knowledge, experience and/or training in accurate data entry, office equipment, and use of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Language Skills
The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills are required.
