Kuhlman Corporation, part of The Gerken Companies, is hiring an Inside Sales Associate in Toledo, Ohio. This role blends customer service, sales support, inventory coordination, and problem solving to build long-term careers in the building materials industry.

You will work with customers, outside sales reps, and yard operations to ensure a smooth sales process and exceptional service throughout the buying journey.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in inside sales, retail, or customer service preferred.
• Building materials or construction experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Detail oriented with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound customer inquiries and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support the outside sales team with quotes, orders, and product information.
• Prepare and package customer orders for pickup or delivery.
• Assist customers with product selection and recommendations.
• Review project information and prepare accurate material quotes.
• Maintain product displays and assist with inventory management.
• Resolve shipping issues and customer concerns.
• Process orders and support fulfillment to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide backup support for counter sales when needed.
• Support overall sales and customer service efforts.
