Magnetic Component Engineering (“MCE”), a subsidiary of Dexter Magnetic Technologies (“Dexter”), manufactures permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies made to demanding customer specification in the aerospace / defense, semiconductor equipment, medical, and industrial end markets. Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:
This position is responsible for identifying, developing and capturing new and maintaining existing business opportunities within assigned accounts.

- Responsible for developing and managing annual orders and sales plan for the assigned accounts that meets or exceeds revenue goals for their territory.
- Proactively call on customers to develop strong multi-level relationships. Understand the customer’s business so we are in a position of strength for future NPI projects.
- Develop and maintain an active and growing sales funnel utilizing our CRM tool.
- Maintain a CRM database inclusive of customer contacts, call reports, opportunity details, and specific project/sales pipeline information.
- Work closely with our outsides sales team to move prospective customers through the sales process.
- Support strategic account and business development teams by identifying decision makers at target accounts.
- Communicate with customer service, operations, quality, engineering in defining specific needs required to support respective markets and/or specific customers.
- Anticipate market trends, competitive activities and customer strategies to identify risks and develop opportunities. Share that information with Marketing and Key Account Sales Teams.
- Execute Lead Qualification and Lead Generation Campaigns.
- Leverage phone, email, chat and social media outreach to contact prospective customers.
- Partner closely with Marketing team in testing and optimizing new tools and approaches to more effectively capture and manage leads, including but not limited to online chat, automated lead scoring, etc.
- Identify new contacts at existing accounts.
- Update existing customer records to ensure database is accurate and complete.
- Perform other duties as required.
- No more than 25% travel, as needed
Salary Range: $90,000-$97,000 + 25% variable compensation
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering or 4-year bachelor’s degree in marketing or business.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service or marketing.
- Experience in the use of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) as well as tools for lead management and acquisition, such as LinkedIn Navigator.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR)
- Proficient in a systematic approach to sales, resulting in closing more deals and increasing margins.
- Strong verbal and written communication and selling skills.
- Sales and marketing experience, B2B phone sales preferred.
- Technical interest, technical background or experience in magnetic solutions or motors, preferred.
- Ambitious and self-motivated individual who is goal oriented and driven by results.
- Will be a self-starter, tenacious and proven team player capable of prioritizing his or her own work and/or problems simultaneously.
- Quick learner with the business aptitude and acumen to apply to daily work.
- Effective time management and strong planning and organization skills.
- Leverage process and best practices to achieve consistent outcomes.
- Detail-oriented. Must take good notes, be consistent and follow up with tasks.
- Proven critical thinking skills and problem-solving methodologies.
- Able to understand complex technical concepts to adequately advise customers on selecting the best Dexter, MCE and EEC solutions to solve their magnet solution requirements.
- Must be comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing and demanding environment.
