Job summary

Newcomer Funeral Service Group in Topeka, KS is seeking an Advance Planning Specialist to meet with families, arrange advance funeral and cremation plans, and educate them on services and merchandise to reflect their wishes and values.

You will actively build a personal lead pipeline through outreach and referrals, partner with local organizations to raise awareness, and use CRM tools to track activity and drive sales, with a base salary plus commissions and bonuses and a comprehensive benefits

What You’ll Do

• Meet with families to arrange advance funeral and cremation plans with care, professionalism, and empathy


• Educate families on services and merchandise, helping them make decisions that reflect their wishes and values


• Actively build and manage a personal lead pipeline through community outreach, referrals, and follow up


• Partner with local organizations and referral networks to expand awareness of advance planning options


• Use CRM systems, reporting tools, and other technology to track activity and drive sales performance


• Support a welcoming, organized, and professional funeral home environment in accordance with all state, local, and company standards

What We’re Looking For

• A strong communicator who treats families, colleagues, and community members with dignity and respect


• A sales motivated professional who is comfortable working toward goals and earning commission


• High school diploma required; associate’s degree or higher in a related field preferred


• At least one year of experience in advance planning, sales, insurance, or a related role


• Licensed insurance agent or the ability to obtain required insurance licenses


• Solid computer and office skills, strong organization, and close attention to detail


• A genuine desire to help people plan ahead and feel confident in their decision
