What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers by phone, email, and in person at the local branch showroom; research and place orders for building materials products
- Stay informed about products, changes, and trends within woodworking, kitchen & bath design, and cabinet making
- Seek out new business opportunities with customers by placing orders and providing sales quotes
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives on customer orders and quotes; research pricing and availability for various items
- Maintain and uphold the employer's Five Core Values while striving to achieve and surpass sales objectives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Motivated, customer-focused individual with a strong desire to provide top-quality customer experiences
- Prior inside sales or customer service experience, ideally in a desktop or office-based setting
- Knowledge of woodworking, cabinetry, kitchen/bath design, or related building materials experience is helpful
- Strong problem-solving skills; organized and comfortable with technology (uses AS400 database software daily)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Inside telesales experience preferred in the industrial market
- AS400 experience is helpful, but not required
