The individual will learn and demonstrate a working understanding of real-time PCR / qPCR workflows in general laboratory practice. General experience in other genetic analysis methods is an asset but not required. Successful applicants will be trained in Professional Selling Skills (PSS) which they will use as a framework to improve sales and strategic selling effectiveness. This person will grow comfortable using telephone selling skills to build customer rapport and develop consultative sales relationships. They will find opportunities to use Thermo Fisher Scientific’s products and solutions to help customers overcome problems, win orders and grow our business. Sales representatives will be asked to achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by maintaining existing business and conducting cold calls to developing incremental business in existing accounts, and prospect for new business. This individual will participate in and apply product and systems training, marketing campaigns, and special projects to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures. New hires will undergo a two-week onboarding period, followed by a week of selling skills training and ongoing training throughout the year.
