The Inside Sales Representative supports revenue generation by managing accounts, assisting sales representatives, and ensuring customer requests are handled in a timely and accurate manner. This role is responsible for growing and managing assigned accounts and providing backup support to outside sales representatives. The Inside Sales Representative will use the WAV CRM system to create quotes, process orders and manage activity. Your efforts directly contribute to the company's sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements

Essential Job Functions

• Promptly respond to customers with courtesy and respect
• Manage and support your assigned accounts with a focus on retention and growth
• Achieve sales goals established by WAV
• Provide backup support for sales representatives when they are traveling or out of office
• Assist sales representatives with quotes, proposals, and follow-up as needed
• Greet and assist customers in customers in person, providing product/service information and processing their order
• Collaborate with Customer Solutions to ensure customer needs are met
• Maintain accurate account information and activity in the CRM system
• Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
• Be knowledgeable of product lines distributed by WAV
• Attend in-house and supplier training
• Maintain a proficient understanding of internal systems and processes
  • Reach out directly to manufacturers for DDO/PE price updates
  • Handle customer service issues, finding solutions to customer problems
  • Setting up complex orders in the company’s ERP system

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 3-5 years direct industry and sales experience of a technical product line.

Language Ability

Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to adapt to challenging situations as well as have the ability to balance, execute and prioritize both routine and analytical tasks. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Willingness, capability, and determination to solve problems and participate in team problem-solving and negotiations.

Computer Skills

Strong knowledge of MS Office products and experience using a CRM system. NetSuite experience preferred.
