Inside Sales Representative Role
Our Inside Sales Representatives sell products and services to businesses, industrial establishments, or individuals over the phone or at the sales counter. They estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of RGA production and delivery schedules. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound calls and customer inquiries to convert into sales.
- Collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to ensure excellent customer service and relationships.
- Provide product details and demonstrations as requested by customers.
- Highlight product features, quote prices, explain credit terms, and prepare sales orders.
- Track stock levels, update inventory databases, and communicate stock information through central purchasing.
- Determine the best product or order delivery method and estimate delivery dates.
- Enter customer data into databases regarding purchase orders, credit terms, and related information.
- Senior Level: Responsible for training team members, managing workflow, and acting as a subject matter expert. Makes decisions independently of the Branch Manager's approval.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Follow directions from supervisors and trainers and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct reports.
Education and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Experience in shop or industrial distribution sales or fabrication.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift at least 25 lbs; frequently perform standing, climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, and bending.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk alternately throughout the day.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
Work Environment:
- Quiet to moderate noise levels.
- Fast-paced and positive atmosphere.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
Must pass a hair follicle drug screen.
