Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Associate in Austin, TX to help customers select the right roofing, siding and windows products.

You will handle inquiries, process orders, and coordinate pickups with the warehouse while delivering excellent customer service on a Monday–Friday schedule. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in relevant sales or field work, strong communication, and reliable time-management.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ roofing/siding/windows experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Detail oriented and service-minded.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers’ needs and recommend products.
• Follow checkout and upsell additional items.
• Answer telephones and enter sales orders.
• Process payments and apply to accounts.
• Coordinate customer pickups with the warehouse.
• Follow deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
• Restock shelves and reorder products as needed.
• Address and resolve service concerns promptly.

Specific duties may include:

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific qualifications include:

• 1-2 years’ experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
