Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. in Valparaiso, Indiana, is seeking an Inside Sales Associate dedicated to delivering world-class service to customers purchasing roofing, siding and window supplies.

You will determine customer needs, process orders, upsell products, coordinate pickups, and help ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in roofing, siding, and windows preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Detail and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers’ needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Follow product checklist and upsell additional items.
• Answer telephones and enter sales orders.
• Accept payment and apply to customer accounts.
• Coordinate customer pick-ups with the warehouse.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and accuracy.
• Reorder products to keep shelves stocked.
• Address and resolve service concerns.

Specific duties may include:

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific qualifications include:

• 1-2 years’ experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
