We’re looking for a driven and detail oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our growing Sales Team. This role is vital in supporting the full sales lifecycle - from crafting tailored solutions and technical proposals to building lasting client relationships. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, interface directly with customers, and play a key role in growing VIRSIG’s business.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support to the Sales Team (datasheets, quotes, vendor details)
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Research vendors and subcontractors for accurate pricing and product options
  • Prepare and deliver clear, competitive proposals and pricing quotes
  • Support the Sales Team during pre-bid meetings, site visits, and webinars
  • Maintain accurate records using ConnectWise and other CRM tools
  • Keep current on industry trends, products, and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate across departments to meet customer needs and deadlines

What You Bring

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in technical sales, inside sales, or a related role
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain complex systems
  • Familiarity with government contracting, procurement, or construction sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Construction, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM platforms (ConnectWise a plus)

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working in or with government/DoD environments
  • Prior work with access control, surveillance, or low-voltage systems
  • Knowledge of RFP processes and federal sales cycles

  • Professional, collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel for site visits or client meetings when required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or work at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs during site visits or trade shows
  • Comfortable wearing PPE during field walk-throughs (provided by VIRSIG)

Standard Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • This position is fully remote, with the option to work from our Port Washington, NY headquarters if local; work-related travel anticipated to be 10% or less
