POSITION PURPOSE: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting relationships with existing clients. This position enables sales growth by identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored logistics solutions.
REPORTS TO: Head of Marketing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales & Business Development
- Conduct outbound sales calls to generate leads and qualify prospects.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting.
- Identify customer needs and present tailored solutions to secure new business.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by closing deals and expanding the client base.
- Client Relationship Management
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive retention and repeat business.
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for clients.
- Leveraging Digital Marketing & CRM Tools
- Utilize digital marketing channels, including email campaigns and social media, to generate leads and engage prospects.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that support sales initiatives.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of digital outreach efforts to optimize engagement and conversions.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, sales activities, and customer interactions.
- Assist in development of sales strategies based on data analysis and market feedback.
- Market & Solutions Knowledge
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of American Expediting’s services and capabilities.
- Educate potential and existing customers on the value of our logistics solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of sales; with strong experience in B2B or transportation/logistics, medical industry experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high number of accounts within the portfolio (100+), with daily engagement.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality of work, with CRM entry daily. HubSpot experience preferred.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience selling on the value of a product or service to meet the needs of a customer.
- A track record of success with account management, selling, lead generation, and lead qualification.
- Experience using digital tools and digital sales channels.
- Driving success in business with a clear and intentional customer or territory strategy
- Successful history of building strong customer relationships and internal relationships with other stakeholders
