Job summary

Merchants Metals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Sacramento to engage customers, assess needs, and drive orders. The role includes presenting products, discussing technical details, and expanding account opportunities.

Earn $25–$28 per hour plus a commission plan. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. Requires high school diploma and 1–2 years of relevant experience.

• Identify revenue opportunities within customers' communities through excellent communication and networking.
• Prospect, qualify, and generate sales within the company’s trading partners.
• Ensure identification, planning, account qualification, and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
• Interact with prospects to identify contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
• Identify and close additional purchases by customers' communities.
• Respond to customer requests for information and present products based on needs.
• Engage in technical discussions with potential clients.
• Remain knowledgeable on changes in the company’s B2B infrastructures.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for working with customers to assess their needs. The inside sales representative solicits and obtains orders, understands and interprets customer requirements, provides product and technical information, and develops accounts.

Pay: $25-$28 an hr depending on experience + a commission plan

Schedule: Mon-Friday
