Job summary

Ryerson is a leading provider of industrial metal products and services, seeking a Customer Engagement Specialist in Phoenix, AZ. You will ensure accurate order processing and build a steady customer base through proactive, in-person sales calls.

Responsibilities include planning territory approaches, inventory management for customer-specific material, coordinating with operations, and negotiating product terms. Travel is mostly local with occasional overnights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales or industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of product offerings and markets served.
• Proficient in MS Office; basic ERP systems knowledge.
• Travel mostly local during business day; some overnight travel may be required with advance notice.

• Occasional face-to-face customer interaction and moderate authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

• High School diploma required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• 3-5 years prior sales or industry experience preferred
• Solid understanding of product offerings, ERP systems, and markets served
• General understanding of metal processes and products
• Proficient in MS Office
• Minimal travel required. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected with advance notice
