This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the products or services offered. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for communicating with customers and vendors, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process. The person in this role must be able to build relationships and close sales.Exciting work you will do:The essential duties and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customersRespond promptly to customer inquiriesCommunicate with customers and vendors through various channelsAcknowledge and resolve customer complaintsParticipate in sales and product training sessionsProcess orders and quotes in business systemProvide vendor portal assistance to customersMaintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaintsCommunicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessaryExplain and articulate product features and applicationsMake recommendations to customers for product selectionsMake outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leadsUnderstand customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunitiesMaintain a database of current and potential customersProvide the customer product submittal sheets for their approval and track their progressClose sales and achieve sales targetsPerform other duties and projects as assignedCompetencies you possess:Service ExcellenceResults, Action OrientedAccountability and ResponsibilityUnderstanding Others, ListeningProblem SolvingTeamwork and collaborationPriority SettingWhat you’ll need:Work Experience: 2 years’ customer service, sales or distribution experienceEducation: HS diploma or GEDComputer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systemsOrganization Skills: Excellent work ethic; good verbal, and written communication skillsCross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environmentCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; provide excellent internal and external customer service; experience handling escalated customer requests; negotiation skillsPhysical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
